Students planning rally at Army recruiting office

After the third incidence of vandalism at the U.S. Army recruiting office near the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, two student groups are planning a rally in support of American troops.

The Concerned Patriots League and College Republicans at UWM are scheduling a rally at 1 p.m. Thursday in front of the recruiting office, 3133 N. Oakland Ave.

Vandals spray-painted swastikas on the windows of the recruiting office, discovered at 8:30 a.m. Monday, said Milwaukee police Sgt. Ken Henning. It was the third time in recent months the office has been vandalized. In previous incidents, red paint was thrown at the office door.
