What is Move America Forward?

Move America Forward is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization committed to supporting America’s efforts to defeat terrorism and supporting the brave men and women of our Armed Forces.


Why do I need to register as a member on this website?

Member registration allows us the ability to tailor the site to suit the needs of our grassroots supporters.  We need to be able to communicate with our activists and we would like to provide special tools to individuals who wish to help support our goals.  If you register as a member you will be able to participate in regular polls, you will be able to receive news and action alerts from Move America Forward, and as this website grows, you will be able to access sections of the website which are reserved for MAF members. 


How do I register as a member?

Membership registration is fast, easy, and FREE! 

To register as a member, just click on the button which reads “Join MAF”.  This will open a menu which will allow you to either log in to the website if you are already registered as a member, or you can create a new membership account if you are not already registered.  You can also click here to go directly to the membership registration page.

You will be asked to fill out a short form, requiring a username that you will need to use to log back in to the website, a password, and some personal information which will allow us to be able to provide the best possible service to our members.

Once you have filled out this form, the system will send you a confirmation email.  When you receive this email you will need to click on the confirmation link included in the email to verify your membership account.

We use this method of verifying email addresses to make sure that people are not added to the Move America Forward membership list against their will.  It takes a couple of extra steps, but we believe that you will find it worthwhile.


Why do you need my city and zip code for registration?

An old political axiom states that “All Politics is Local”. 

At Move America Forward, we understand that and we are working to be able to provide local activities for our grassroots activists.  As our membership grows, we expect to be able to help local leaders and activists bring a conservative message to their community.  To do this, we need to know where our members are located. 


How do I log in to the website?

To be able to access members-only functions of the Move America Forward website, you will need to be a registered member, and you will need to log in to the website. 

Once you have registered as a member (for information about registering as a member, click here) you will need to log in to the website.  To log in to the website, simply click on the link below the menu bar at the top of the page which reads “You are not currently logged in.  To register or log in to the website, click here.”

This will open a menu which will give you the choice of logging in to the website or creating a new registration.  If you have already created your membership registration, then click on the link that reads “Website Login”.


Why do I need to register with this website to vote in MAF polls?

Unfortunately there are people out there who feel threatened by Move America Forward’s grassroots activism and our efforts to bring a message to America.  Many of those people would be willing to vote repeatedly in our polls in an effort to damage our ability to determine what issues are most important to Move America Forward members.

Therefore we have implemented a polling system that reflects a “one member, one vote” strategy.  All members are allowed to vote, but they must be logged in to the website to vote, and they may only vote once on any individual poll.

We understand that there are people out there who may be upset that we do not want them to vote more than once in our polls, but in America the goal is to make everyone’s vote count.


I registered as a member on the old website.  Does that registration still work?

Unfortunately not.  The entire membership system has been redesigned from the ground up, using a different database, and individuals who registered with the old website were never verified.  In addition to that, the old registration system did not maintain usernames and passwords, so it wasn’t capable of being used to manage members-only functions on the website.

We apologize for the inconvenience involved in registering your membership anew, but we believe that the additional features and services that we will be able provide will be worth the additional effort.

I never received the registration confirmation email.  How do I activate my registration?

We recognize that sometimes emails sent do not always reach their desired recipient.  Some internet service providers have filters on incoming email which are designed to filter out spam, but quite often delete some good email as well.  This problem appears to be most prominent with some large service providers like AOL and EarthLink.

If you do not receive your registration email within 24 hours, you should send an email to and someone will manually activate your registration as soon as possible.  However, this process may take a few days since the volume of email received by the staff at Move America Forward is often quite high.


My registration code is invalid.  How do I complete my registration?

If the registration link is clicked repeatedly, sometimes the system will confirm the registration, and then immediately report an error.  If this is the case, your registration will work, and the message is in error.  Go back to the website and attempt to log in.  If it allows you to log in properly, then ignore the message.
